Cheryl has shared her gift of humour and laughter with many at conferences as a keynote speaker, families & children in the hospital’s, seniors living in care facilities, corporate teams in the workplace, youth in career forums and schools. Cheryl is dedicated to sharing laughter with the elderly in assisted living situations, anyone living with illness or maybe even someone you know who may benefit by attending a fun filled laughter experience. Thousands of people have enjoyed the benefits of learning how to have more joy, laughter and play in their everyday life!

Cheryl is a Professional Speaker, Certified Laughter Leader, Certified Laughter Yoga Leader, Alberta Children’s Hospital Therapeutic Clown, Gold Member of the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor, Member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers. Founding Member of the Canadian Association for Therapeutic Humour, Founding Member of the Canadian Association of Therapeutic Clowns, and Founder of Calgary's Caring Clown Association.

Cheryl is a kind, happy, fun loving, resourceful person who has the gift of sharing smiles & laughter to all . . . big, tall, short and small.  Cheryl is the creator of visions and has the wisdom and faith necessary to realize her dreams. Miss Loosie always reminds us   that  “Our day dreams are visions for a life worth living!” 

Global Television & the YWCA selected Cheryl Oberg as “A WOMAN OF VISION” April 2003.

The 8th Annual Flare Magazine Volunteer award for Community & Leadership Award goes to Cheryl Oberg for her 1,958 hours of volunteer work in Calgary in 2003. August 2004 issue of FLARE Magazine.

The Edmonton Journal, Calgary Herald, Vancouver Province, Regina Leader Post and the Saskatoon News ran a story on the benefits of laughter and humour & featured the work of Cheryl Oberg and the World Laughter Tour.  May / June 2004.

Global Television featured Cheryl Oberg aka: Miss Loosie on the Body & Health Show in September, 2004.  The Body & Health program showcased Humour & Laughter in Canadian Health Care.  The Body & Health show is seen daily across Canada on the “W” network..

Alberta Government & the Wild Rose Foundation selected Cheryl Oberg as a recipient of the 2004 Star of the Millennium Volunteer Award.  The induction to the Wall of Fame was on December 3rd, 2004 in Edmonton, Alberta at the Legislative Building.

Premier Ralph Klein selected Cheryl Oberg to receive an Alberta Centennial Medal on December 13th, 2005. This medal is given to Albertans whose achievements have benefited their fellow citizens, their community and their province.

Cheryl Oberg is selected as one of Canada’s Wave Makers in a documentary called “Start a Wave”, Canada Wide on the “W” Network, October 6th, 2007. Special feature in the National Post August 4th, 2007.
